Danwood Scotland has acquired the business and assets of Well Connected Scotland Ltd and Well Finished Ltd.
Well Connected, an independent Scottish company supplying and maintaining high quality colour and black and white digital multifunctional products, has showrooms, offices and warehousing in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Over five years the business has built an excellent reputation for quality and professionalism and has an installed base of 1,400 machines, a staff of 28, a strong geographical presence in the west of Scotland as well as expertise in the graphics and production systems market.
Commenting on the transaction, Danny Cameron, the recently appointed managing director of Danwood Scotland, said: “The Well Connected business is an extremely important purchase for Danwood which further demonstrates the Group’s commitment and willingness to invest in its Scottish business as we push to achieve our objective of making Danwood Scotland the premier supplier in our marketplace.”
The Danwood Group has operated a successful acquisition-led business model for a number of years as it continues to develop its already extensive service network in both coverage and depth. In Scotland the company acquired Paragon Corporate Systems in Glasgow in June 2005 and has since added Grampian Business Products in Aberdeen, Norcom Solutions in Inverness and MBR Group covering the Borders and Dumfries to its growing network in Scotland.
A recent investment from Englefield Capital LLP sees Danwood preparing to complete a number of large acquisitions over the next 12 months and expand into mainland Europe, growing the business to £300m turnover by 2012.
Danwood Scotland is part of the Danwood Group, one of the largest independent suppliers of office solutions in the UK.
